Testimonials
"I have known Mitch Hall for more than ten years first as a doctoral student and then as a colleague. Mitch has a long history of work with people who have been victimized, both nationally and internationally. We have shared a commitment to peace and social justice issues including collaboration on several articles and book chapters.
Mitch has a strong editorial eye, capturing details of format as well as the continuity of themes. Mitch has the special capacity to write for both academic and for general public audiences, One amazing piece of editorial work came when I was co-editing an anthology. One of the important contributors submitted an article more than three times the expected length but had no time to revise nor did he believe It could be shortened. With the author's permission, Mitch took on the editorial challenge and came through to everyone's approval and appreciation He did this on time demonstrating his usual reliability."

Professor Emeritus, The University of California

"Mitch is AMAZING! I have known him for many years, and he has worked with me for a number of years as well. We have published together, and I have benefited from his editorial skills and talent. He is a great writer himself, but his editing talents are simply the best I've ever seen in my decades of work as a clinical psychologist and President of PsycHealth, Ltd. I can't imagine a better choice for you. He goes beyond the attention to detail and really views the writing as a whole which allows him to make gestalt/organizational/flow of writing type of comments which only serve to improve the piece and bring it to its best final draft. He is very familiar with professional writing standards. Perhaps as important is the caring he puts into all he does.
Clearly, I can't say enough good things about him… I feel lucky to even know a writer/editor of his caliber!"
Madeleine Y. Gomez, Ph.D.
Founder and President, PsycHealth, Ltd.

"Mitch Hall contributed the first draft of the manuscript, created the wonderful names of the exercises, and gave the book the light, uplifting feeling that it has. Mitch has the magic of making something both light and serious at the same time” (Christopher Harrison, p.4).
“When I completed the research necessary to write the book, I began looking for a writer who could turn the scientific, left brain stuff into a fun, readable course that everyone would enjoy. My good friend, Mitch Hall, took the challenge, and I think that you will agree, he did a terrific job. By the way, he is the one who came up with all the names of the exercises. Many thanks to you, Mitch, for your countless contributions to the project” (Christopher Harrison, p. 165).

“I am so grateful to Mitchell Hall, who so expeditiously transcribed and edited the tapes.” (Morton Kelsey, Christo-Psychology,
p. xii).
“I really appreciate all that you have done in transcribing the tapes and getting them into order so that I could finish them. You undertook a monumental job, and you got it done. Without your help the book would never have been done” (personal communication from Morton Kelsey, 5/16/1982).
“This is just a little note to tell you that I realize the tremendous pressure you were under when you did the transcription and the editing you did on Christo-Psychology. Also, you were presented with a totally new world view which would have been difficult for anyone to comprehend, particularly with no diagrams and a blackboard. However, as I look back on the book and its growing popularity I want to thank you for the work that you did and know that I think the finished product is a very fine one” (personal communication, Morton Kelsey, 5/16/1983).

“Co-author Mitchell Hall, whose knowledge of African culture stems (at least) from his work as a Peace Corps teacher, provides introductory remarks for the two halves of the book, but his main role has been to transform Diallo’s spoken French narrative into idiomatic written English. Anyone who has spent any time talking with African traditionalists such as Diallo (whether in French or in English) will recognize that Hall has done an admirable job of retaining the inimitable style of African narrative.”
Professor Roderic Knight, excerpt from “Review,” Ethnomusicology
35(1), Winter, 1991: 121-123.
